Silk dyed with woad, weld and madder on an onion skin paper
This greeting card is made with several types of silk dyed with plant dyes: red from madder roots, yellow from weld leaves and blue from woad. The green is weld over-dyed with woad. The embroidery threads are silk dyed with plant dyes. The salmon-red paper in the background is made from onion skins mixed with recycled paper.
