2. Delivery charges to Europe and the rest of World (that is, countries outside the UK)
We ship orders to all countries in the world and currently have customers in over 50 countries. However, with increased cost of freight and postage, especially outside Europe, we need to cover our post & packing costs.
If you are ordering from the USA, Canada or from Europe, you can contact us either via the Contact Form or by email to email@example.com for a quotation. We will then send you a Paypal invoice for any additional transport costs. This can be paid by credit card, debit card or by Paypal. If at this point you do not wish to proceed with your order, we will refund your payment in full.
Indicative costs of delivery to Europe and to the rest of the world including USA, Canada and Australia are provided here.
Our delivery charges in the UK and abroad are subject to external costs incurred from carriers and packaging suppliers and may change without notice.
3. Fulfilment and Delivery times
On receipt of your cleared payment, your order will be packed and then sent directly to you by the UK’s Royal Mail or Airmail postal services.
Delivery is generally by the Royal Mail’s First Class post in the UK and by the Royal Mail's international Airmail letter or packet services for overseas customers (by courier for larger orders). This is essentially a Monday to Friday business hours service and therefore consignment at a post office usually takes place on the working day (Monday to Friday) following receipt of payment. There is no service on UK public holidays.
Note that order fulfilment is from the UK and therefore delivery times are greater to addresses abroad than they are within the UK. The Royal Mail states that it aims to deliver in the UK within 1-2 days but in our experience delivery may take at least several days longer and the Post Office will only accept complaints for non-delivery 15 working days (i.e. 3 weeks) after the due delivery date...
The Royal Mail’s suggested delivery aim for Europe is 3-5 working days and for the USA and the rest of the world is 5-7 working days (i.e. not including weekends and public holidays). However, the same caveats around actual practice and the same rules regarding complaints of non-delivery apply. The Post Office will only accept complaints for non-delivery 20 working days (i.e. 4 weeks) after the due delivery date (a total of 5 weeks) for Europe.
For the USA and rest of world, the Post Office will only accept complaints for non-delivery 25 working days (i.e. 5 weeks) after the due delivery date (a total of 6+ weeks). In our experience, delivery may take 4-6 weeks, in some countries.
We would therefore suggest that you wait at least 2 weeks before advising of any non-delivery to a UK address and at least 4 weeks for an overseas order. Most orders are delivered very rapidly and efficiently but occasional delays in postal delivery occur which are outside of our control.
